Brodny Borzoi, Dachshunds
and more
We have been showing and breeding Borzoi since 1977.
We love the breed, their elegance and their grace whether running or in repose.
In 1994 our homebred Ch. Brodny's Ironwood won the Borzoi National under borzoi breeder Dr. Asa Mays. This was an honor as it was the largest entry of Borzoi at a National.
In 2010 our Borzoi, GCh. Greyhaven Wizard's Crystal, bred and co-owned with is breeder, Marilyn Polsfuss, won three Best In Shows. "Wizard" was the only Borzoi to go Best In Show in 2010 and the first Borzoi since 2006 to have had this honor more than once. "Wizard" ended 2010 as Number One Borzoi all-breed.
In 1986 we added standard wirehaird dachshunds to our family. The late Peggy Westphal, Von Westphal Kennels, entrusted us with Ch. Westphal's Tomten at Brodny. Soon he was joined by his half-sister, Ch. Westphal's Lush Life O'Brodny. To date we have bred close to seventy champion, National Speciality winners, Westminster Winners, amutiple Group Winning and Best In Show wirehaired dachshunds. In 2000 we added a standard smooth male
dachshund from the late Dorothy (Dee) O. Hutchinson's Rose Farm Kennels, Ch. Rose Farm's Will He Be Good, "Willie", whose mother was one of Peggy's bitches.
Enjoy the photographs of these and others of our dogs, including the greyhounds and Scottish Deerhounds.
